Bad Haircut / USA/ 2025/ Dir: Kyle Misak/ 109 Min
A new cut, a new you — or maybe just a new reason to scream. BAD HAIRCUT takes a trip to the barbershop from hell.
College misfit Billy Crumpus (Spencer Harrison Levin, #ChadGetsTheAxe) has hit rock bottom. After one humiliation too many, his friends drag him to their favorite barber in hopes a fresh cut will fix his life. Enter Mick (a gloriously unhinged Frankie Ray), an eccentric stylist whose methods are… unconventional, to say the least. What begins as an awkward trim explodes into a delirious descent of blood, bravado, and bizarre enlightenment.
Director Kyle Misak blends the manic energy of Superbad with the gleeful menace of Sweeney Todd, crafting a horror-comedy that’s as deranged as it is disarmingly sincere. Levin and Nora Freetly bring infectious chemistry, but it’s Ray’s scenery-chewing turn that steals the chair.
BAD HAIRCUT is a sharp, twisted ride through identity, insecurity, and the perils of personal grooming. You’ll laugh, you’ll cringe, and you’ll think twice before booking your next appointment.
