Queen Cora Coleman: Rhythm & Inspiration
The Saskatoon Jazz Orchestra welcomes Queen Cora Coleman, the internationally acclaimed drummer, educator, producer and bandleader whose career has taken her to stages around the world alongside artists including Prince and Beyoncé. Known for her groove and her presence behind the kit, Coleman brings an artistic voice that crosses genres while staying rooted in the spirit of jazz.
The program draws on music associated with her career and the works that shaped her as a player, arranged here for large jazz ensemble. Join us for an evening built on rhythm, invention and the kind of playing that has made Coleman one of the most in-demand musicians working today.
