Celebrate the creativity and growing legacy of Saskatchewan jazz in a concert given over to the next generation of composers and arrangers. Drawing on works written by students and alumni of the University of Saskatchewan's jazz program over more than a decade, the Saskatoon Jazz Orchestra presents original compositions and inventive big band arrangements that show the depth of our province's emerging musical voices.
Expect bold contemporary writing alongside fresh takes on jazz classics, all of it developed right here in Saskatchewan by composers helping to shape where the music goes next. We'll be joined by the Saskatoon Youth Jazz Orchestra.
