The Saskatoon Jazz Orchestra brings its 2026-2027 season to a close with internationally acclaimed trombonist, composer and arranger Marshall Gilkes. Gilkes is one of the leading voices in contemporary jazz, known both for his playing and for his writing for large ensembles, including his Grammy-nominated recordings with Germany's renowned WDR Big Band.
The evening opens with the Saskatoon Brass Band, with Gilkes as featured soloist. In the second half he takes the stage with the SJO for a program of his own compositions and arrangements.
