Bahay Kubo is a growing community of Filipinx drag performers in Saskatoon. We are a vibrant collective of drag performers with diverse styles and expressions dedicated in celebrating our culture through the art of drag. We hope to empower queer POV voices and be able to open doors within both the queer and Filipinx communities for future queer Filipinx so that their voices and perspectives are heard and acknowledged within both communities. Together, we slay!
Vancouver’s Winona Forever have ridden a wave of musical curiosity and chemistry further than imagined when forming in high school. After spending formative years touring Canada and packing Vancouver’s resilient DIY venues, the band stumbled into an international following with 2017 single Keep Kool. Listeners were quick to tune in to previous releases while waiting for 2019’s Feelgood, a sophomore album that sold out a first vinyl release through Kingfisher Bluez label.
Born out of collectivist ideals, Unproductive is a quintet that plays a hybrid of euphoric post-punk and grandiose art rock. Their hyperfixations include the power of community, the disconnect between labour and happiness in modern life, loners who eschew human connection in the name of boardroom bottom lines, and sports.
