Psychological horror comedy
94 min
Directed and written by: Emily Robinson
Starring: Emily Robinson, Aaron Dominguez and Ryan Simpkins
A biting psychological horror-comedy, UGLY CRY marks the sharp directorial debut of star Emily Robinson. The film follows Delaney, a fragile 24-year-old actress spiraling into an existential nightmare after a casting director critiques her "ugly cry." Desperate to fix her face, Delaney plunges into a surreal, body-horror-fueled obsession with Hollywood perfection. Blending savage Hollywood satire with psychological terror, Robinson delivers a brilliantly twisted, skin-crawling descent into madness that captures the devastating toll of impossible beauty standards.
