World-Renowned Singer, Songwriter Mohsen Namjoo comes back to Saskatoon for a Solo Performance. Born in 1976 in Khorasan province, one of epicenters of poetry and music north east of Iran, Mohsen Namjoo is a singer, songwriter, music scholar and setar (traditional Persian lute) player currently based in New York City. Featured on many world renown press such as NY Times, The Guardian, BBC, LA times and many more Namjoo is considered a visionary artist who speaks for the youth in Iran. Seamlessly blending the Classical Persian music and scales with electric guitar, Rock and Blues vocal techniques with Persian avaz (singing). He fuses the ancient with the current.

Tales of Bravery and Stupidity
Bruce McCulloch’s Tales of Bravery and Stupidity is a one-man show that moves brilliantly between funny, relatable and surprisingly touching. Using music, stand-up, and storytelling, Bruce McCulloch takes us on a poetic flyover of his life “pursuing stories” and makes an unspoken agreement with the audience to contemplate the world together. Tales combines Bruce’s knack for elfin’ funny observations with his humanistic yearnings, looking at the bravely stupid things he’s done - and things we all do - to make sense of our messy lives. From musings about his worldview to a window into his family, Bruce looks at the way we reach outward and inward, and his struggle against his own internal pessimism to see the beauty and joy in life.

The Ukrainian Bandurist Chorus of North America (UBC) returns to Saskatoon with its new concert program, Все буде Україна -- Ukraine Lives! The ensemble continues to amplify Ukraine’s voice and to highlight Ukraine’s unique cultural identity. The bandura, the 60-stringed instrument voice of Ukraine, will be featured in the concert program.

Jake Vaadeland is bringing his first ever holiday project ‘Goodness Gracious, It’s Christmas!’ to theatres across Canada! The tour will be accompanied by the release of two new singles, ‘Jingle Bell Rock’ and ‘Beautiful Star of Bethlehem’. For this inaugural holiday tour, limited edition holiday merchandise will be available along with a new stage set created specifically for this tour.

Jake is looking forward to performing the new songs, his debut holiday release, for the first time in front of his fans. ‘Christmas is a special time of year when friends and neighbors come together, and I’m excited to present my new songs and tour that I hope has a little something for everyone, both young and old’ says Vaadeland. Jake will perform along with his band, The Sturgeon River Boys, who have earned a reputation as highly skilled musicians, and will bring an exciting and high energy element to every show.
